Hi! I am Abby Norman and that picture is accurate. My mouth is almost always open. I am a former teacher, and current preacher living with my family in the city of Atlanta. After nine years of loving the students and the learning and despising the testing and the paper pushing of the classroom, I am going to Seminary and seeking ordination within the Methodist tradition. I know, I didn’t really see that coming either, and yet here I am, planting a church on the south east side of the city. You can check that out at newhopeatlanta.org

I have been blogging for the past seven years and it has been one of the most transformative experiences of my entire life. I have met friends, found my voice, figured out what the heck I even believed and then changed my mind on some of it. Throughout this entire experience I have found that I am not alone.

In addition to five year blogging for myself, I have had the opportunity to write for the Huffington Post, as well as for She Loves Magazine and The Mudroom. I have also been featured on GPB On Second Thought, NPR: A Closer Look, as well as on 11 Alive. If you are interested in having me write something for you I would love to.

A speech team kid at heart, I love when I get to speak at live events. The  2014 Tedx Peachtree event was particularly thrilling as was delivering the sermon at my own church.
